That “something” turned out to be baking. And not just any baking—my childhood favorite: the chocolate chip cookie. I became obsessed with getting it just right. After 12 test batches, I finally did. And I knew it wasn’t just a cookie—it was comfort, nostalgia, and connection all in one bite.
